At a glance

My experience in Italy

Because John and I both have Italian roots, we have travelled extensively through Italy and Sicily. We have visited many of the major cities, as well as ventured into some of the smaller towns.

And with John still having family in Sicily, we tend to visit there often with our kids. From the food to the architecture and fabulous beaches, we definitely enjoy heading back to Italy as often as we can.

  • Transportation Tip – We did not find Italy’s cities to be well-connected by public transportation. In fact, aside from travelling within the larger cities, where it was totally fine, we found it to be a little frustrating trying to get around. I would recommend either renting a car or taking a tour to make your way across the country.
